Genevieve Chi is a native San Antonian who once suffered from troublesome skin. She has tried nearly every skin care product on the market: Proactiv, Rodan & Fields, Mary Kay, etc. After failing to find the results she wanted, she began researching and soon realized the chemicals in the products may be contributing to her skin issues. She came across a DIY recipe for a sugar scrub and began learning about the benefits of essential oils.
Shortly after that time, her first sugar scrub was born and she finally encountered a product that worked for her skin type. Encouraged by her sister, she started to come up with a variety of sugar scrubs. One in particular, called Zexxy is made with real oranges and is currently her most popular scrub. The citrus in the scrub helps with: acne, blemishes, skin discolorations, wrinkles, and the citrus acts as a natural mood enhancer. Once Genevieve mastered sugar scrubs, she began to delve into other skin care products. Her line currently includes Green Oil which has anti-fungal properties and stimulates hair growth, cleansing bar soaps, and even a lathering every-day face wash.
I came across Genevieve’s page on Facebook and I was intrigued by a post that broke down the ingredients of a scrub I’ve used since before I can remember: St. Ives Apricot Scrub. I was horrified once I learned that the scrub contains harsh, abrasive pieces of walnut shell which likely contributed to my own skin problems. I read every single one of her posts (and the comments too) before I placed my first order. What I love about Genevieve is that she will recommend the best product for your skin condition. I suffer from oily skin so she recommended Gauge which is a sugar scrub made with peppermint essential oil and her Coffee Bar which is a cleansing bar soap made with coffee. The first time I used Gauge, I noticed an immediate difference. My pores were smaller, my blackheads were gone, and my face was smoother than a baby’s bottom. My makeup application went on flawlessly and lasted longer than normal. I’ve been using her products for about a year now and the only time I have breakouts is when I get lazy and don’t use the products as I should.
Over the last year, The Sugar Scrub Angel has grown tremendously with an increased product line and her following has reached over 8000 on Facebook. To get your hands on her fabulous products, you must follow her page here: https://www.facebook.com/SugarAngelChi Genevieve will post on her page when orders are being accepted. She now offers shipping to all over the US with orders being shipped weekly! Deadline for Christmas delivery is December 18. Otherwise, you can place orders for pickup. Currently she offers pick up locations on the Northeast side of San Antonio and the Southside. I HIGHLY recommend giving her products a try. You won’t regret it! Thanks for reading!
